. >>> good wednesday morning, i'm megan pringle. >> i'm charley crowson. here are a few of your top stories today. a police officer is involved in a deadly shooting in carroll county. police say they were called to tawnytown for a report of a man smashing the windows of a truck with a hammer. when they arrived, they asked the man to put the hammer down, but they kept walking toward him. that's when one officer fired, reportedly hitting the man. he's been identified as 26-year- old edward becker. >>> in glen burnie a man is dead. he was shot while break breaking into a business. he broke into the arundel coin shop on sunday morning. he was fighting with an quee and that's when he was shot. medics pronounced him dead at the scene. that case still under investigation. >>> time for a check of the forecast. things could get messy out there, here's meteorologist mike masso. >> notice on maryland's most powerful radar showing the flurries developing from annapolis, all of anne arundel county down towards buoy and this is pushing to the north, right along i-95 during the course of your day today.

went potty! that's great, honey.... where? for life's bleachable moments. >>> good morning i am megan pringle. here are some of the top stories. a shooting outside a shell station along edmonton avenue left a man dead in baltimore county it. happened yesterday morning. police say an officer saw a man behind the building asked him to step ford and things escalated the man is identified as 36-year-old gregory stegall. officer involved has been place on the rye teen administrative leave. >>> injuries are nonlife- threatening for a crash that caused a backup on northbound 259 near route 32 yesterday afternoon. road is opened this morning. no word on what caused the crash we will keep you posted when we find out. it's 7:27. time for a check on your weather with meteorologist lynette charles. >> all right. check out what's going on in towson. clouds streaming in across the area this morning. high cloud right now but we will begin to have thicker clouds moving in and with that we will begin to see some wet weather in the picture as well. temperatures wise this morning, we are freezing in cat

. thank you for joining us. megan, what did you see? >> jenna and i walked to the restroom after we walk in to nordstroms. we had just gotten there and jenna pointed out there was a guy in a halloween mask and she was that weird but living in portland you see weird stuff like that all the time so i didn't think much of it. >> you say a halloween mask. what did it look like. >> like a freddy versus jason, hockey-type mask. he was scaring kids as we walked in to the bathroom. >> what do you mean, he was scaring kids? >> like he had his mask on and was lurking toward them going -- ah! and they looked like a group of middle schoolers. >> this is in the nordstroms. >> this is after we walked to the food court n the food court restroom area. >> what was he wearing, do you know? >> dark clothing, all black. >> then what happened? >> then we went to a shop called tilly's and it is a zumi style store. we heard a sound like something metal hit the ground in the main area of the mall and we saw one of the shots fly by that was 25 to 30 feet away from where we were. >> did you hear shots? >> they ec
